1st John 5 verses 12-13 say the following:
12 The one who has the Son has life. The one who doesn’t have the Son of God does not have life. 13 I have written these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.
(Emphasis Mine)
Do you have the Son?
If you have sold out your life to Jesus than you HAVE to have the Son, Jesus IN you the hope of glory.
It doesn’t work any other way, Jesus says to Nicodemus in John 3:1-8:
1 There was a man from the Pharisees a named Nicodemus, a ruler of the * Jews. 2 This man came to Him at night and said, “* Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher, for no one could perform these signs You do unless God were with him.”
3 Jesus replied, “* I assure you: Unless someone is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” 4 “But how can anyone be born when he is old? ” Nicodemus asked Him. “Can he enter his mother’s womb a second time and be born? ”
5 Jesus answered, “I assure you: Unless someone is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 Whatever is born of the flesh is flesh, and whatever is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not be amazed that I told you that you must be born n again. 8 The wind blows where it pleases, and you hear its sound, but you don’t know where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”
(Emphasis Mine)
Being Born again is a necessity and a requirement for admittance to the Kingdom of Heaven. Unless you are Born again, Born from Heaven, and are filled and sealed with the Holy Spirit you are not going to be part of the Kingdom.
Having the Spirit is the same as having The Son.
The good news is that Gaining the Son and being filled and sealed by the Spirit are AUTOMATIC when you truly accept that you are dirt and cannot save yourself. Once you accept Christ’s sacrifice on the Cross, you are filled, indwelled and sealed by the Holy Spirit.
I don’t care if you don’t like that idea, that is between you and God, but it’s the only way to be saved and once again it’s automatic when you accept Jesus as your Savior.
You can say it ain’t so all you want, but it is and it’s the only way. If you have accepted Christ it’s time to realize that you have Christ in you, this doesn’t mean that you’ll never sin, it means that you’re see by God through His Son on the cross as IF you were sinless.
However as it says in 1st John 5…you can KNOW that you ARE SAVED.
Jesus wants you to know you are saved, Adventism teaches that you cannot know that you’re saved.
Who will you believe?
God Bless,
U.A.
