Adventists Claim Points of Familiarity with Muslims?! Divert even further from Mainline Christianity!

I feel it’s about time to address something very important and very dangerous and unfortunately very real. Adventism is now  distancing itself from Christianity-by drawing dramatically close to Islam.

In a recent article from Adventist World.Org Adventist’s claim that Islam shares five opinions with Adventism and that such an understanding means that Adventists are uniquely positioned to reach out and save Muslims. However the article itself seem more to be speaking of joining up with Muslims in their beliefs.

This is happening in the Christian world too and has a name Chrislam.

Let’s take a look at the commonalities between Adventism and Islam which the article states.

One: Belief in Jesus

G.O.S.P.E.L. Truth

What does the Bible tell us about our nature? We are born in Sin.

What does it say about how we are? Dead in our sins, aligned with the rulers of darkness.

What does it say about how we can truly be born? One way, the only way, the God-man The Messiah, Christ Jesus.

Can our good works help us get salvation? No. They are fruits OF our salvation.

Are we actually capable of good works? Not while we are dead in our sins.

According to Colossians Chapter 1 the truth is startling and it is the following:

13 He has rescued us from the domain of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son  He loves.

We are born in SIN, part of the domain of darkness, aligned with the father of lies and at peace in our rebellion. It is only by His Grace and our moving towards Him in faith, our acceptance of the Sacrifice of the Son for us…that we are transferred through the Blood of the Cross to the Kingdom of Jesus Christ!
